MY BEAUTY WINTER MUST HAVES ♡

Hey lil nuggies!

Hope you had an amazing Christmas, I know I did!

Now it's winter I have to look after my skin and hair against the weather, I've got some products that are definitely worth buying.

I've also got some new beauty tools to make sure you look glam for those New Year's parties.

I've been searching for a good foundation that stays perfect and covers blemishes. Lo and behold I've found one. Stila's liquid foundation is perfect for everyday use with even coverage. I've been struggling to find the right cover but I bought this one in 'Bare 1' to try and over balance the pink and red tones that I have and it works a treat. I only have two problems with this foundation:
1)  I'm not so keen on is that it has a very 'dewy' look which, as a naturally oily skinned person, is not particularly appealing. However, I use some matte powder over the top and this stops any excess shine to give me the perfect base look.
2) It can be counted as a 'thick' or 'heavy' foundation on your skin as it is quite sticky. It covers my acne scars on my cheeks really well. It is super long wearing which I love as I had foundations that wear off within a couple of hours but taking it off at the end of the night is a struggle.

Bare Minerals' Smoothing Face brush is a really useful brush to have in your beauty box. I use it to apply the base layer of my foundation and it just gives a smooth photo finish look.

The Bumble and Bumble hair primer is amazing. It smells fabulous and it protects my hair from the winter sun and the harsh heat of a hairdryer and/or my straighteners.

Bare Minerals' brow pencil is a must- have for anyone who cares about their brows. It sculpts and defines but also has a little brush so you can shape your brows the way you like.

Partner the brow pencil with Urban Decay's gel and you have the ultimate brows. This gel darkens my pale brows and makes they easier to style.

The Ecotools custom buffer brush is perfect for even blending. I use it to apply my contour kit and blusher but I also use it to blend my matte powder.

This Nivea day cream is a perfect moisturiser for my skin type as it's not too heavy which can make my skin really oily and its not too light. It has an SPF of 15 to protect my delicate skin from the harsh UV rays. It makes my skin smooth and soft and sits beautifully under makeup.

Colour Freedom have a range of bright dyes and I picked the purple for this month. As I'm sure all of you know, I love to dye my hair different colours and usually I use BLEACH LONDON's range but I've decided to branch out. This dye is amazing because you don't have to use a lot of dye to colour your whole head and it doesn't fade really fast (unlike a lot of brands). It also takes to your hair really well. When dying it, I tried to get mine as white as possible but there were some yellow tones and the dye covered all of them perfectly.
This is the colour that the purple produced which is a really pretty pinky/purple colour.

I've only used this pasteliser once and it didn't really work on my hair because my previous colour was too dark but I've heard good reviews about this product and I cannot wait to try it out.

SMASHBOX's Photo Finish Primer is a MUST HAVE in my makeup bag this winter. Its so smooth and just helps apply foundation easily then keeps it in place throughout the day.

Lastly, Soap and Glory is one of my favourite brands ever and this scrub does not disappoint. I've had little bumps on the back of my biceps as a teenager and they've always annoyed me so I decided to exfoliate them once a week and they disappeared! This scrub also smells gorgeous like every other Soap and Glory product.

Until next time :)  Befffyyy xxx

TRAVELLING IN AUSTRALIA ♡

GUYSSSS! ♡

This is going to be a LOOONG blog post and I can't write every single thing down so this is a summed up post about my trip so far but...

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW EXCITED I HAVE BEEN TO TELL YOU GUYS ABOUT MY TRIP!

So I left England nearly 2 weeks ago to travel on my own to Sydney. The flight was about 15 hours to Manila (The Philippines- where I did a swap over) then another 8 and a half to Sydney.

When I arrived, it was hot! And I didn't really know anyone. I'd decided to do a 'Welcome Week' organised by a company called Ultimate Oz as I wanted to get to know the city before I started my internship.

The first day we did a walking city tour, we went to Darling Harbour and the Opera House.

Here's a photo of Harbour Bridge:

It was a beautiful and day we discovered the Botanical Gardens and so on.

The next day was a Harbour Cruise on a boat. We had a BBQ on the boat and it was gorgeous and VERY hot.

DAY 3, we went to 'basecamp' which is a little camp in the middle of a forest in Port Stephen. It was much colder there and the bus journey took about 3+ hours from Sydney but we had a bonfire on the beach in the evening, which was cold as hell!

That night, I was sharing with 4 boys and one girl in a little cabin. We'd been told to keep the door shut and the curtain closed to avoid attracting bugs and possums... WELL IT DIDN'T WORK!

At about 11:50pm a possum climbed through the anti-possum slats in the door and came inside! It crawled into our bin and has a lil sniff around. All of my room mates and I were clapping at the possum, trying to scare it away, we were also making seriously weird noises.... We didn't realise that it was clever enough to get in but not out.

This woke up the rest of the people who were sleeping in the cabin and this Italian guys runs out of his room and straight into ours. He opens the door, letting the possum out and tells us to shut up basically. By now our whole room is awake!

Anyway, so the next day we went sand-dune surfing and it was scary but fun! We went on a bush walk and got completely soaked by monsoon type weather.

Lastly, we went on a dolphin cruise and saw 3 dolphins, which is really awesome.

So after this SUPER exciting week, I've started an internship in a small film company. Everyone is lovely and Australia is awesome, I've just been so so busy recently so I've no time to post!

Yes, I've been on a few beach trips so those photos will be appearing a lot!

You can keep up to date with my travels on Instagram and Facebook!

Here's a lil video I made about my first week here:

Hope to keep you guys updated :))

MERMAID HAIRRR ♡

Hey nuggies!

I'm so sorry I haven't posted in nearly a month, I've had exams and everything but guess what? I'VE FINISHED SCHOOL!

Anyway, as a celebration I decided to dye my hair aqua blue:

This took quite a lot of bleaching to get my hair blonde then toning it to white and eventually to blue!

Here's a video of how I did it:

So the products I used are in the description box, hope you guys like it!

April Obsessions ♡

Hey lil nuggios!

Sooooo, its April and its the monthly obsessions tag!

A lot of my obsessions are linked to my previous post called 'Easter Must- Haves', so you can look on there for them!

My first obsessions are in beauty:

The NYX white eye pencil is fab, its so soft and easy to apply and blend. I highly recommend it as a white eyeliner, a base shadow and a brow highlighter/definer.

Secondly, is the Matte Mousse foundation by No.7, I already talked about this on my last post so go have a read about it on there!

Next is the Lush Mint Julips lip scrub and this is also on my last post so you know what to do ;).

Lastly, in the No.7 Precision brow definer pencil. This is great if you want that in brow look without going Cara Delevingne style. It subtly highlights and shapes your brows without making them look like caterpillars on your face! I recommend it if you're a person who prefers more natural makeup and to look airbrushed as opposed like you've just come off a photo shoot for Moschino!

Next is CLOTHES:

So my first clothing obsession is my dungaree dress from TopShop Moto but I got if off eBay for £15. It's so comfy and useful as I hate dungarees that you have to basically strip off to go and pee!

Next are my ripped skinny jeans in charcoal from TopShop Moto they were £45. I love these jeans as they are made of more elastic than denim so they are more comfortable and if like me, you have skinny legs then they are super flattering.

My last production in clothes is band tees, which is kind of vague but they're awesome. I have loads so I won't go into great detail but paired with some skinny jeans and a jacket, they are literally my favourite outfit.

Now, onto MUSIC!:

I've got two physical albums here:

Future Hearts by All Time Low
Madness by Sleeping With Sirens

These are two of my ultimate favourite bands and I love their new albums so much so please check them out and support the artist by buying the albums!!

Next is:

Handwritten by Shawn Mendes, he's so acoustic and has a chilled sound. Shawn's voice is so addictive to listen to so you guys so definitely check him out!

On the same acoustic note, I am obsessed with the song Scars by James Bay. It's a beautiful stripped back track and I can't get enough of it.

Dan and Shay's Can't Say No, is very country but is still such a tune! Lots of people dis country music because it isn't cool enough, well screw them! Country is fab and this song is so adorable.

Onto more rock music, I'm so addicted to Heaven Knows by The Pretty Reckless. The music video is rad and it has that Joan Jett sound to the song that I really like.

Rep Lips by Sky Ferriera is an awesome tune, she's so grunge and Tumblr which I love and her music is awesome.

Next is Ghost/ Hurricane by Halsey. Now, I have a girl crush on Halsey, she's so cool with her electric blue hair and Tumblr clothes so this song rocks!

Lastly is This Is Why by Hey Violet. I know loads of people have really mixed opinion about Hey Violet but I really like them and this song is so catchy!

Anyway that's all for this month :) Over and over my nuggs

My Easter Must Haves ♡

HAPPY EASTER MY LIL NUGGIES!

So because its Easter and I'm feeling generous, I decided that I don't have to post every week with a video.

I've made a lil compilation of my Easter must haves, these include:

  • Beauty
  • Music
  • Clothes

Sooo, firstly I wanna show you guys the Mint Julips Lip Scrub from Lush (£5.50).

This stuff smells so freaking good and it tastes even better (I'm not sure if you're actually mean tot eat it but who cares!) I've never used lip scrub before because I've always been told they do more damage than good.

However, this stuff is perfect because it takes off all the chappy bits on your lips (ew, gross I know!) and makes them smooth. After that I usually apply some Vaseline because that makes it all smooth and soft!

Secondly in the beauty department, I bought this foundation. It's called 'Matte Mousse' and Its No.7 in Cool Ivory. This is amazing, I'm not going to lie, it is quite hard to get even coverage but if you just use a sponge you can get good coverage :). It's light and doesn't have that horrible sticky, heavy feeling that some foundations have. It bought it in Boots for £12 which is a really god price for No.7.

NEXT ONTO MY FAVOURITE- MUSIC!

Okay, so I don't know if you guys like my music recommendations but I'm giving them anyway ;). Tomi and I exchange music a lot and introduce each other to new music and she showed me a lot of these songs, so thank her :)

  • Kids In The Dark- All Time Low
  • Ocean- Andreas Moe
  • Can't Let Go- Faydee
  • Build A Girl- The Fooo Conspiracy
  • Flights- Jack & Jack
  • Scars- James Bay
  • Hole In My Heart- Luke Friend
  • Heaven Knows- The Pretty Reckless
  • Like We Used To- A Rocket To The Moon
  • Stitches- Shawn Mendes
  • Red Lips- Sky Ferreira
  • Save Me A Spark- Sleeping With Sirens
  • Spare Time- TIDES
  • Fairly Local- Twenty One Pilots
  • I Like It- We The Kings
These songs are a mix of rock/acoustic/pop and everything in between!

Lastly onto clothes:

I love clothes. I'm not going to deny it and I post a lot on my Instagram about my clothes ;)

So I recently bought some sunglasses from TopShop (£16) and they've got that festival, retro kind of look that I love.

I also bought a lil bralet from ASOS (£20) and it's very soft, its black and lacy which I love too because its more mature :).

So yeah! I hope you guys enjoyed reading about my Easter must haves and if you listened to any of the music or have any of the same clothes/ beauty products then do comment your opinion on them!

Over and out lil nuggies, stay beautiful
